Métis Beading

In an effort to further our community on the road to reconciliation, we have created a safe, and brave, space to honour Métis Culture in recognition of National Day of Truth & Reconciliation (which is September 30th).

Métis have a vibrant culture of decorative arts that emphasizes the brightly coloured beadwork and embroidery. In fact, the Dakota, and the Cree refer to the Métis as the “Flower Beadwork People”.

In this FREE 3-hour workshop, you’ll be creating your very own beaded design.

You’ll have the choice of one of two (4cm square) motifs:

  • Métis Five Petal Prairie Rose
  • Orange T-Shirt

All beading supplies will be provided. Though, if you have a some of them, you can bring them.

Register fast, as there are limited spots that will fill up fast.
